Canadian by nature. Old soul at heart.
Before my love for jewellery came a love for anything old, really. Growing up, I followed my mother around flea markets, second hand shops, where shopping wasn’t leisure, it was a sport. During seemingly endless weekend in my tweens, we always watched old classic movies from the ‘50s and ‘60s, always mesmerized by the Hollywood glamour girls dripping in diamonds.

There are a few things I can pinpoint that were foundational to starting Emma Storey Jewellery. Moving from Canada to Belgium in my 20s was a cultural awakening (kicked off a few years earlier thanks to my sister taking me to see Sofia Coppola’s Marie Antoinette)
Despite building a career in corporate marketing, I’d never found what really makes me tick. When a mentor gave me a push and said “Find your passion and just do it” I knew it wasn’t a coincidence when I came in contact with a private collection of antique jewellery that had been sitting in a safe for the past 20 years. Since then, antique jewellery has been my obsession.

You'll notice a compass throughout my brand, but if you look closely, the orientation is off. That’s intentional. I believe movement is more important than direction. It’s about intuition, trusting your gut, and daring to move forward. After all, fortune favors the bold.
